Dr David Tacey
Dr David Tacey is Reader in literature and psychoanalytic studies atLa Trobe University, Melbourne. He is the author of nine books including Patrick White (1988), ReEnchantment (2000), and Edge of the Sacred (2009). David was born in Melbourne and grew up in AliceSprings, central Australia. He studied literature, psychology andphilosophy at Flinders and Adelaide Universities in the 1970s, and inthe 1980s completed postgraduate studies in psychoanalysis andculture in the United States. He has taught at various Australian, American and Britishuniversities, and is on the editorial boards of several internationaljournals on Jungian studies, analytical psychology and religiousstudies. He is a public intellectual who is often invited to address contemporary issues including ecological awareness, mental health, spirituality and Aboriginal Australia.
